    "Medicare Step by Step" is an event where seniors learn the basics of Medicare, such as when to sign up, potential penalties and the difference between a Medicare supplement and a Medicare Advantage Plan. The class is strictly educational, per Medicare regulations and will not cover Inter Valley Health Plan benefits. To attend this event, you will need to sign up at the service desk of the library or call the library at 951-845-1357 to have your name added to the list. space is limited to 30 people.

    For those interested in bolstering their driver's license test taking knowledge, this workshop will have participants take a sample test and then go over answers so that they can become better prepared. Space is limited and you must register for workshop to attend. Please contact Lucy Sims at the library to register.

  4. Protecting Seniors: Knowing How to Avoid Scams, Fraud, and Elder Abuse

    September 28, 2019, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM @ Beaumont Library District - Community Room

    The event will focus on fraudulent scams directed at seniors and the methods people can use to avoid them. This includes email scams, phone scams, etc. Likewise, the topic of elder abuse and what to do about it will be discussed. This includes both mental, financial, and physical abuse. It is hosted by Tori Praul Hedrick, of Inland Counties Legal Services, and a retired federal judge, Meredith Jury. To participate in this event, you will need to sign up at the service desk of the library or call and reserve your spot at 951-845-1357. Space is limited to 30 people.
