 Monthly Programs

Family Fun Saturday

For families with babies to 12 years old.  10:30-12:o0 noon, the Fourth Saturday of the Month.  The event is held on the second floor of Beaumont Library.  An interactive program for the whole family, featuring crafts, songs and fun!

  • March 27: Sensational Science
  • April 24: Poetry Jam
  • May 22: Carnival of Books

Internet Adventures

For children ages 6-12.  3:00-4:00 p.m. on the First Tuesday of the Month, meeting in the Beaumont Library Community Room.  Explore some cool websites.  Play online games.  Have fun!  Note: Limited number of computers = First come, first served!

Second Saturday Special

For families with babies to 12 years old.  10:30-11:30 a.m., the Second  Saturday of the Month.  The event is held on the second floor of Beaumont Library.  A guest performer will entertain the audience with storytelling and music, puppets, balloons or magic!

  • May 8: Annie Banannie's Balloon Storytelling Adventures

Seri[ou]s Book Party!

For children ages 6-12.  5:00-6:00 p.m. One Tuesday Evening/Month, meeting in the Beaumont Library Community Room.  Different activities, games and crafts having to do with the featured series of books will make for a fun party! 

Story Time & Craft

For children ages 6-12 and their family.  3:30-4:30 p.m. on the Second, Third & Fourth Wednesday of the Month, meeting in the Beaumont Library Community Room.  Each story time will include a fiction and nonfiction book featuring a different theme.  A craft will follow.

Note: No 4th Wednesday program in March, but there will be one the 5th Wednesday.

Special Events

Family Book Discussion Group

For parents/guardians and their preschool age to 12 years old children.  The first fifteen families to sign up at the Beaumont Library Information Desk will receive a free copy of the book. 

  • Reach for the Stars!  Sign up at the Beaumont Library Information Desk: March 1-13.  Discussion Group Meeting: Thursday, March 18 @ 6:30; Beaumont Library Community Room.  Book Selection: "Star Seeker: A Journey to Outer Space" by Thersa Heine.

  • Go Green!  Sign up at the Beaumont Library Information Desk: April 1-17.  Discussion Group Meeting: Thursday, April 22 @ 6:30; Beaumont Library Community Room.  Book Selection: "A River Ran Wild" by Lynne Cherry.

Clubs

Tooth Fairy Club

Any child who has lost a tooth may join the Tooth Fairy Club!  Put the tooth into an envelope and bring it to the library for a special gift to help you keep your beautiful smile.

Summer Reading Club 2010

"Make A Splash!" Summer Reading Club 2010 for children ages 6-12 will begin in June!  More information will be available in May.
